2021 sees us mark a very special milestone in the history of Farm and Garden Products as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary. What started as a small family-owned store retailing Homelite power equipment on Alma Street, South Rockhampton in 1981, has since grown into one of the largest and most renowned garden, construction and agriculture dealers in the Central Queensland region. 

Original owners, Garry and Rita Keleher prided themselves on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all product displays and merchandising were presented to the highest standard, all of which quickly cemented Farm and Garden as a trusted, local business. We became an official Husqvarna dealer in 1982 where we specialised in selling mowers, chainsaws and garden equipment as well as parts, servicing and accessories. Sustained growth saw the need to relocate to a larger premises on the corner of Yaamba Road and Main Street a few years later which provided greater display and promotion opportunities to passing traffic.

The addition of Polaris to our brand repertoire in 1991 prompted our expansion into a greater variety of products in order to better service the needs of the local agricultural and construction industry. Our ever-expanding product range was eventually in need of a new home, which prompted the move further up the road to our current premises next to the Redhill Homemaker Centre.

In 2017 Garry and Rita handed over the reins to new local owners, Rohan Seemungle-Dass and Billy-Joe Siddins, and together with Dealer Principal, Tony Patterson, have continued to grow the business with the addition of Bobcat construction equipment in 2019 and the PFG Group (Versatile, Deutz Fahr, Kioti, McHale, Vicon and Kverneland) in 2020. Realising the need for Farm and Garden’s extensive agricultural product range to be more accessible to the Central Highlands, the business had also since expanded to Emerald with our partner store, Farm and Construction Products, having now been operational for two years.

After celebrating 40 years in business, we’re proud to stock the largest assortment of high-quality brands in the region while maintaining our long-standing reputation for good old fashioned customer service and exceptional after sales support.
